Travis Avampato

PERSONAL - Travis is single with no kids and lives in Sacramento, California. He works in virtual design construction at Alston and started golfing two years ago.

TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Travis has been buddies with Justin Isaacks and Aaron Schurer for about 15 years. They grew up in the music scene together and then all got addicted to golf during covid. They’re still addicted, much like us all. I’ve met Travis a couple of times down here at Bartley and he seems like a great guy and another great addition to this tournament.

WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - Travis is new to golf and the good news for him is that even a beginner can find a way to win this tournament. The bad news is there’s no way a beginner is going to win the jacket as a rookie. Second year maybe, but not as a rookie. If he’s anything like Justin and Aaron though, and I think he is, Travis is headed to Idaho to have a blast and enjoy some time with his buddies. Their airbnb sounds amazing and I’m sure this time next year they’ll have some great stories of their trip to Idaho.
