Cole Davey
PERSONAL - Cole is single and lives in Sacramento, California. He works in the department of social services for the state of California. Cole has been golfing since he was a pipsqueak but started taking it more seriously 3-4 years ago.
TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - I’m pretty certain Ryan Butler has met all his friends at a party or a bar and Cole is no different. Cole was the bartender at the local watering hole and the two bonded over golf. They started playing together a bunch during covid days and the rest is history. So much so that the picture above is of them playing Kapalua earlier this year. This reminds me of the day I won a trip there in a putting contest but never used it. Cole is another big soccer guy (Kyle Nathanson and Brett Berman were in the movie kicking and screaming) but four knee surgeries ended that dream. His focus is now on golf and the Montemar is the perfect spot for him. Welcome aboard, Cole!
ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MONTEMAR - Nothing yet.
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - I haven’t told Kevin Hancock (the guy who drafted Cole) yet, but Cole had a typo when he sent over his handicap. He’s actually an 18 and not an 8. I found this out after the draft but it will make the final day extra challening for the duo. Cole will have to channel his inner Tiger and hope he has some great holes when Kevin struggles and vice versa. Luckily he was picked by Kevin, the most chill guy ever, and even luckier he seems like a fun dude because Kevin is also. Cole needs to have a blast, take the advice I give to all of the young guys (nothing good happens after 2), get his rest, and show up and play some quality golf.
