Chris Gentry
PERSONAL - Chris lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife and two kids - Jett (21) and Kinsey (18). He owns a consulting company that focuses on large scale energy efficiency and renewable projects at federal sites. Chris started golfing in college, right about the time he figured out a six pack fits perfectly in the ball compartment of a golf bag.
TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Chris is Randy Park’s oldest of five brothers. Randall met Simon on a bus in Jamaica when the two started talking some shit about each other’s college football teams - Ole Miss and Tennessee. In a way, Chris’s entry to the Montemar started that day, or if we go back even further, it’s when Simon started loving Ole Miss football and Randall started loving those Volunteers.
Chris was out of the house by the time Randall was in middle school but did give him his first set of golf clubs. For years he’s watched Randall be the best athlete but worst golfer in the family, so when he invited him to the Montemar, he knew there was at least one person he could beat. If Randall’s big brother is anything like him, then we’ve found ourselves another great one with Chris and we’re glad to have him on board.

WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - Randall had some wins and losses in his rookie season of the Montemar. The wins were that he had a blast and made some great new friends. The losses all had to do with golf, as he shit the bed and finished toward the bottom of the pack. Chris claims to be the better golfer of the brothers so we’ll see how he fares. If he can finish in the top 70 of 80 in the standings he’ll surpass his little brother’s on course rookie season, but he’ll need to be an absolute legend if he’s going to out-do Randall of the course.

FUN FACT – Chris is a traveler who’s been to nearly 30 countries. When his kids were in middle school they moved to Europe for five months to expose them to a different world.
