Matt Nedresky
PERSONAL - Matt lives in Sacramento, California and is single with no kids. For work he’s a physician’s assistant specializing in spine surgery. This last part is great to know as my biggest concern for this year’s Montemar is what’s going to happen to my back when I try to play six rounds in six days. Matt started golfing as a teenager, stopped for awhile, and picked it up again about a year ago.
TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Matt and Nate Udy used to live in the same apartment building, had some mutual friends (Nate seems to have mutual friends with everybody), and the combination of that led them to falling in man love for the summer. Judging by the picture he sent and knowing he’s Nate’s buddy, I’m going to guess he’s another great and fun guy who should fit in perfectly with this group.
ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MONTEMAR - Sounds like Matt is going to donate a golf shirt or hat. Thanks, Matt!
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - It looks like Matt’s got a sneaky good scramble team with a not so good index. The good news for him, and his scramble partners, is that his golf game could really help in the net portion of those Sunday contests. All he has to do is play to that 25 on Saturday. If that happens, that number will help loads come Sunday. He’ll need to draft well and hope to get paired up with some studs in the random stuff. If those things happen, no reason to think he can’t hang around
ODDS TO WIN – 97-1
FUN FACT – Matt is testing for his black belt in karate. Also, Matt’s is the second profile I’ve done in a row (Jene Corad) of Montemar players who grew up in Pensylvania.
