Chris Holtzer
PERSONAL - Chris lives in Granite Bay California with his wife Caitlin and son, Easton (9). He works in the line department for PG&E of Placer County. Chris took up golf back in middle school but will be the fist to tell you it doesn’t show.
TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Chris is originally from Arroyo Grande in San Luis Obispo County but moved to Granite Bay a couple years ago for work. We all got to know him because he’s Brian Warren’s wife’s brother. Without taking the time to look back at it, I believe Simon’s wife, Misty, met Tess when she was getting her hair done so we got both Brian and Chris pretty much because a couple of wives met one day and became friends. Like Brian, Chris is an awesome dude who’s a phenomenal husband and dad. He’s a great guy to be around and I know from first hand experience that he can contribute to a winning scramble team.
ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MONTEMAR - Nothing yet but I’m sure Chris will come up with something good to help out. A day on his boat as a prize would be pretty cool. He’s got a good one.
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - I think it’s safe to say that Chris is coming to the Montemar to have blast with the boys and the jacket is probably the last thing on his mind. That said, if he catches some luck with the random pairings, gets on a good scramble team, and catches more luck in the draft, he’s got a solid enough game to find himself in the top 25 percent of the field.
ODDS TO WIN - 103-1
FUN FACT - Chris was an integral part of our scramble team winning Drew’s tournament, The Invitational. He wasn’t at integral as Tim.
