Kyle Nathanson
PERSONAL - Kyle lives in Santa Monica, California and is single with no kids. He’s a sales rep for saleforce. Kyle has been golfing since he was 9, although he says if you saw him play you’d think he took it up 3 years ago.
TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Kyle is a childhood friend of Brett Berman, who met Michael Addison when he reached out so their businesses could work together. Addi will actually be meeting Kyle a week before the Montemar when Kyle, Brett, Addi, and some others go enjoy Gamble Sands, which should be very high atop all our lists. Not a bad couple of weeks for those guys. Kyle sounds like my kind of guy as he’s super chill and easy going and loves to tell jokes. He’s ready to shotgun some beers on the course and make some new friends. Sounds like another great guy who’s a great fit for this tournament.
I’m looking forward to meeting him in the couple of rounds we play leading up to the Montemar.
ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MONTEMAR - Donating a box of ProV1s. You can never go wrong with this one, guys! Thanks!
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2024 - Our scoring system, which I’ll get on the website real soon, seems complicated if you don’t know what you’re looking at or don’t have the ability to read and comprehend. Kyle strikes me as an intelligent guy and one who’s going to figure it out. Basically everything we have in the Montemar is stuff we’ve all played at one time or another - two man best ball, four man best ball, individual stroke play - gross and net, a scramble, nassau style, skins, closest to pins, long drives, match play, multiple divisions, etc…. The difference with the Montemar is we always have many of these contests overlapping at the same time. All the contests have point values dependent on placing and it creates many more winners, much more disparity, and, in my opinion, much more fun. We make things tough on rookies so that last word, fun, is the key for what needs to happen for Kyle in 2024. Have fun, make new friends, learn the system, and hopefully come back for many years to come.
ODDS TO WIN – 84-1
FUN FACT – Kyle, along with fellow Montemar player Brett Berman, were members of the Gladiators in Will Ferrell’s movie, Kicking and Screaming.
